Hello, peeps!
If you refered to my previous post, i attended the 30 Hour Famine held in Kuching with some of my friends.
Honestly, it was awesome and fun!
But I wont be blogging much about this since i didnt bring my camera.
And i'm sure others will blog about it. Lol.
So, we had to starve for 30 hours, no solid food consumption, but only distilled water.
There were lots of activities throughtout the event, and all were fun and very, very meaningful.
Famine challenges, performances, movies and so much more.
Nicholas Kho, the kid who performed the face-changing magic and the Michael Jackson dance.
There was this famine challenge where all of us were earthquake victims and we had to compete with over 400 people (divided into around 40+ families) to work and look for money to buy food for our family members, get vaccinations, and others.
From this, we could experience the hunger and poverty of people in places such as Iraq, India, and Laos are facing, especially after a natural disaster, where people struggle and panic in such a chaotic situation.
Child labour, prostitution, drug dealing (getting caught red handed and brought into prison, HAHAH) , and whatever they can do to survive.
However, i kinda got a backache after the camp because we were sitting on concrete floors.
But that aint a big deal, people in India sit on dirty, watery, disgusting mud floors.
And we were even in an air-conditioned hall!
The less fortunate people? They dont even have fans.
Seriously, I learnt a lot from it. And i bet all of you who joined do feel the same.
The event was such a great success, and we really have to thank :
World Vision, organiser of the event.
Sponsors : tHe Spring, Sinchew, Yeo's and so much more.
The performers (Studio 23, Nicholas Kho, Cicada, etc.) , and celebrities such as Danelle Lee and Francesca Peter, for entertaining us with their nice vocals, dance, and much more.
The emcees, William and Jolene who were doing a great work in bringing up the atmosphere throughout the event.
Also, the emcees for the performances who worked hard and gave their best effort.
The volunteers, who had to starve and still work.
Nevertheless, all the campers who donated at least Rm80 to participate!
Also, do read my teammates' blog entries on the camp :
Alex Kho
Cheryl Chu
Lynny Then
So i'm just gonna end the post with our group photo, GROUP 3!
You guys rock!
Thanks for the wonderful memories during the camp.
See you guys in the next 30 hour famine camp!

Cheryl Chu sent me a LINK via text message just now.
Whoa.
Look at the Proposed Master Plan of Kuching High.
The highlighted with brown part's gonna be a new driveway and carpark.
Like that teachers wont go like that anymore : "Ehhhh, ask Puan XXX to move her car. Blocking mine ehh. "
